Homeless Expanded Count for River

Tax deductible
Just recently an 80% increase in homeless encampments was documented along the San Diego River in Mission Valley.

You can help by supporting volunteers organized by The San Diego River Park Foundation to increase the frequency of these counts so that the estimate 300+ people can get resources.  Especially with winter rains approaching it is important to know where people are so they can be rescued during flooding, and even better, helped before it happens.

Our data is pretty good but not good enough. With support we can increase the number of volunteers doing this important work.

You funds will go directly to organizing and training these volunteers, outfitting them with the equipment they need and providing this important data to homeless service providers, swift water rescue team and others.

You can help save lives. Imagine 300 or more people living in harms way in deplorable conditions often with pets.  With your help we can better document this tragic condition and help more people be reached by available resources.

For 17 years I have been working on this, we were making so much progress, but this year we have experienced a stunning 80% increase in people needing help.  I would love for you to join me.

Thank you so very much.
