My dad, William H. Withrow (AKA Bill) (AKA Dumpy) passed away on July 5, 2018 at 18:39 in Kindred Hospital of Melbourne, FL. He was 72 years old.

He was born in Charleston, West Virginia. He married my mom, Lizetta Cummings, in 1964 and they moved to Melbourne, FL in 1965.  In 1994, my parents separated; and for the last 25 years, my dad has had a wonderful woman named Jennifer Bark by his side.

My dad has been a hardworking mechanic all of his life, in fact working til the day he was hospitalized well over a month ago. My dad was by no means perfect, and has failed to plan ahead for his death. There is no savings account, no stash of money hidden anywhere, and he had no life insurance policy.

He had been hospitalized at Kindred with a variety of diagnoses such as Advanced End Stage Congestive Heart Failure, Progressive End Stage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and End Stage 4 Kidney Failure. Other conditions also included emphysema, chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, thickening of his lower lobes of his lungs, pleural effusion, pulmonary edema, extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, swelling in his lower extremities, dry and itchy skin with changes in color and most recently confusion, difficulty concentrating, and hallucinating.

My dad has left quite a financial burden for us as we ponder funeral arrangements, cremation expenses, as well as many other expenses that will be incurred.

If we are able to collect the funds to have the Celebration of Life, we will also be asking for donations in lieu of flowers to help with the any unpaid expenses.

We thank all of you for any amount you can donate, even $5 helps. And if you cannot donate, we understand. Times are still very hard for most. We would ask that you keep our family in your prayers as we journey through this difficult time.
