Last year the 3070 Evansburg Army Cadet Parent Committee launched a fundraising campaign to pursue the opportunity of sending our Corps to Normandy, France in September of 2019. We are pleased to announce that the 3070 Evansburg Army Cadet Corps has been formally approved to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime Educational Trip, in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Our cadets have worked tirelessly over the last year learning about our Nations historic efforts, and are thrilled to have this chance to experience it first hand.

We are pleased to announce that the 3070 Evansburg Army Cadet Corps has been formally approved to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime Educational Trip, in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Our cadets have worked tirelessly over the last year learning about our Nations historic efforts, and are thrilled to have this chance to experience it first hand.
As a parent committee, we are committed to fundraising for the cost of the trip, but we cannot do it alone. The expenses for this trip are $4000.00 per person. Our trip will include guided tours of Normandy Beach, Juno Beach and Sword Beach, as well as numerous other historical excursions.
Each Cadet has researched and written an essay about D-Day, worked on improving their physical fitness levels, attended and assisted in Remembrance Day ceremonies within the community, and daily represent excellent citizenship characteristics. We are confident that this trip will impact these young lives in a priceless way, and would greatly appreciate any and all support you may be able to provide.
