Elis Hines Medical Bills

To know Elis Hines is to love him. If you know Elis, you know the most adequate word to describe him is adventurous. Over the course of the last few years, Elis has been an avid member of the Emerald Coast area in a variety of ways— whether serving as a lifeguard at Pensacola Beach, a prominent member of the surfing community, or frequenting various local small businesses regularly, Elis is well known and loved by all he encounters. Unfortunately, the guy who is a friend and a helping hand to everyone around him is now in need of his community to be a friend and helping hand to him. Earlier this week, Elis was living his life as he always does— full of adventure and nothing but joy. It all changed in the blink of an eye. While skateboarding, Elis fell and hit a concrete curb resulting in a broken back and a completely severed spinal cord. He is now in ICU recovering from emergency surgery. As of now, he is paralyzed from the waist down. There will be years of recovery to come. Unfortunately, Elis does not have health insurance. The trauma Elis has endured should be the extent of the stress he will undergo. A financial burden should not be added to the mix. On behalf of Elis and his family, they would appreciate any and all contributions to his recovery, whether it be monetary donations or your thoughts and prayers. Thankfully, Elis’ 21 years of living life to the fullest has prepared him to overcome any challenge or obstacle placed in front of him— even one as large as this.
