Dear Partners and Global Family,
I Just want to briefly update you on my health situation.
During the week I had an amazing door open, in the way of seeing a pain and imuno-suppressant expert. He has a 2 year waiting list and rarely takes on new patients, but because of my blood work I got to see him within 2 days. My blood was to thick that it wouldn't go into the syringe, I just didn't bleed.
He has given me a very small dose of a medication that Paramedics give to overdose patients, drug and alcohol withdrawl too. This stops my immune system for 2-3 hours and gives my system time to quickly produce endorphins. The little endorphine's reduce inflammation and release dopamine into my system.
The standard dose for drug overdose is 150ml, I am on 1.5mg.
Why the low dose?
Successful treatment of chronic pain with naltrexone may require low dosages. Theoretically, a complete blockade of endogenous opioid systems would not be a desirable outcome with a chronic pain patient. Basic science evidence supports that concept by showing that low- and high-dose opioid antagonists have quite different impacts on the physiologic system.
It's only been a week and my body is responding well, minimal side affects and greater movement in my joints, yahoo!
Thank you for your support financially as we walk through this. I can't do any form of Ministry while on this program. It simply knocks me out. Hopefully I get used to it and are able to time it better so that I can do ministry without falling asleep lol.

Update July 14, 2021
Supporting Matt as changes are made to his home to accommodate his advancing disease. Bars have been installed in the bathrooms and we are looking at raising his bed and making more structural modifications. We are also believing for a miracle.
Below is some photos of my hands. I can't hold a toothbrush, hold the Hummer steering wheel and opening doors is getting problematic. The arthritis is now in my eyes, so even with glasses on some days are very blurry, and it's not the Cloud :)
Mandy has returned to work 2 days a week to help finance us, but here is a shortfall which God has been ever so faithful in meeting each month. If He puts it on your hearts to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any support we can get.

Matt has been unable to preach and travel for the past 6 years. He was born with abnormal T cells in his body. These activated at a young age and for the past 29 years he has been getting daily treatment and injections twice a month for three auto-immune diseases. Sadly these are now at a stage where he can hardly brush his teeth (hold a tooth brush), get out of bed un-assisted, cut up his own meals. His hands and feet have become warped and twisted which causes severe pain and muscle less, making every day tasks (like writing your name) impossible. While we have applied for Government assistance, this may take months to years to be approved, if at all. There are some things Matt needs now that we simply can't afford.
For those who know Matt, he was non-stop, go go go and he is finding being confined to a bed very difficult to adjust too. While we are standing in Faith for a Miracle, there are some basic needs that Matt requires to make life easier right now. He needs hand splints made to stop the deformity of his fingers before it gets way out of control and a hospital type bed that can raise and lower so that he can get out of bed easier. If the Govt. assistance is approved he will be able to afford a full time qualified carer.
